Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Solace ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Solace is a meditation application that generates personalised guided meditation sessions. The Service uses artificial intelligence to create meditation scripts and text-to-speech technology to produce audio narration, mixed with ambient music for a complete meditation experience.
3. Accounts & Authentication
To use Solace you must sign in with a Google account via our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
4. Billing & Minutes
Solace operates on a minute-based billing model. Free accounts receive a limited number of minutes. Paid subscriptions and one-time top-ups provide additional minutes. Subscription minutes reset monthly; top-up minutes never expire. Payments are processed through Stripe. All purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with the Service's operation, redistributing generated content for commercial purposes without permission, or using the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
6. Intellectual Property
The Solace name, logo, and application code are the property of Solace. Meditation audio generated through the Service is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You retain no ownership of the underlying AI models or voice synthesis technology.
7. Third-Party Services
Solace relies on third-party services to operate. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOLACE MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT GENERATED WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS. SOLACE IS NOT A MEDICAL SERVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SOLACE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL SOLACE'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO SOLACE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
